Built for Brisbane's Blocks

What makes building in Brisbane its own discipline is not the style of house. It is the ground. Sloping sites need stepped slabs, retaining and drainage that flat-block plans never allow for. The traditional building character overlay decides whether a pre-1947 house can come down at all. Flood and overland flow mapping sets floor levels. Narrow inner-suburban streets decide what a crane or a concrete pump can reach.

How We Work

Flascon offers a complete design and construct service for clients who want one team from first conversation to handover, and we also build directly from existing architectural plans. Either way, the first step is the same: understand what the block allows before the design is locked in, and our process page walks through what follows it.

Flascon is a boutique builder. Founded in 2017 by Jay Flaskos, the team brings more than 30 years of combined industry experience and takes on a limited number of projects at a time. We are QBCC licensed (licence 15050857, which you can verify on the QBCC licensee register) and have been recognised with Best of Houzz Service awards in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2025.
